Third 2009 Dealer Training Workshops
Regular Sessions:
October 12 - 14 & October 14 - 16
Advanced Aerial Session:
Not being offered
The third set of 2009 Bergey
Dealer Training Workshops will be held in Norman, Oklahoma during the
week of October 12 - 16. Regular sessions will be held Monday,
October 12th
to Wednesday, October 14th and another starting Wednesday, October 14th and
continuing through Friday, October 16th. Both programs will cover the
same material. We have two sessions in order to keep the class
size down for the field work portion.
The Regular Classes will feature one
day of classroom work and two days of field work, and will include a
factory tour. The classroom work will concentrate on the home and
farm grid-intertie (AC) market, covering BWC products, site surveys,
budgeting, performance and economics, interconnection, and permitting.
The fieldwork will cover tower climbing, the full installation of a 10
kW BWC Excel-S on a 100 ft. Guyed-Lattice Tower and an installation
review of a 1 kW BWC XL.1 of an 80 ft. Tilt-up Tower. Class size
is limited to 15 people per session so that every student gets hands-on
experience.
Both sessions will receive their classroom work on Wednesday, October
14th.
The
Workshops are designed for our dealers, but attendance by non-dealers
will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The classroom work
will be taught by Mike Bergey, president of Bergey Windpower. The field work training will be
conducted by Pieter Huebner, our award-winning "windsmith".
