| Renegade Radio operates the broadcast site for their Christian FM radio station from a hilltop site east of Reno, Nevada. The site is powered by a Bergey 7.5 kW turbine, on an 80 ft. guyed lattice tower, and 3 kW of solar. The system was installed in May, 1996 and since that time the Bergey turbine has been ~ 98.5% available. The only downtime was caused by a site wiring problem that short-circuited the turbines' alternator. | ||
